Academic Paraprofessional – Paraprofessional 31A
Position: Academic Paraprofessional – Paraprofessional 31A
Location: Beaumont Elementary School
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree preferred
High School diploma required
Successful experience working with children
Demonstrate initiative and energy with ability to quickly adapt to new situations as they arise
Demonstrate competency in basic academic areas
Demonstrate knowledge in the use of computers and technology: Google Workspace, district email, Lexia Core5, Amira and DreamBox
Ability to follow guidance of a lead teacher and collaborate with other staff members
Ability to effectively communicate with students and staff
Ability to manage students individually and in small groups
Ability to maintain student confidentiality at all times
Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance
Work effectively with students to support and reinforce literacy and/or math concepts
Assist with the preparation of instructional materials
Maintain documentation connected to the requirements of the grant-funded position
Other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or the building principal
Reports To: Building Principal
Workday/Week: Monday – Friday 6.5 hours per day
Starting Date: ASAP
Compensation: $14.25 per hour
