Position Summary
The Departmentof Surgery within the Jacobs School of Medicine andBiomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo (UB),is seeking a highly qualified Breast Surgeon with a commitment toserving underrepresented and minority populations.
This position will be based at our major affiliated teachinghospitals, with an appointment at the Clinical Assistant orAssociate Professor level. Rank will commensurate withexperience.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancingequitable healthcare access and will demonstrate a passion forproviding culturally sensitive, patient-centered care for diversecommunities. Overall duties include:
Serving as attending physician for inpatient breast surgeryservices
Providing consultation, treatment, and follow-up for patientswith a focus on addressing the unique healthcare needs ofunderserved populations
Teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and medical studentswith an emphasis on cultural competency and inclusivity
Engaging in clinical and basic science research, as well asparticipating in clinical trials that promote advancements inbreast surgery and health equity

Minimum Qualifications
MD, DO, or equivalent degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Breast Surgery
Fellowship training in Breast/Oncologic Surgery.
