Job description
As an Academic Tutor and Mentor with City Year, you’ll serve full-time in a partner public school, providing individualized and small-group academic support in core subjects, especially literacy and math. You will build trusting relationships with students, mentor them in goal-setting and social-emotional skills, and collaborate with teachers to reinforce classroom instruction. Working on a diverse AmeriCorps team, you’ll track student progress, support attendance and engagement initiatives, and participate in ongoing training that builds your leadership, equity, and youth development skills while making a meaningful impact.
