Access Control Security OfficerWage: $ / hourSecure a construction site with physical security, which requires managing a guard shack, possessing great customer service skills, conducting tours, and performing patrols.Job Summary: Securitas is hiring reliable and professional Security Officers to help protect people, property, and assets at our client sites. This role is ideal for someone who is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment.Key Responsibilities:Monitor premises to prevent and detect security issuesControl access to the site by checking IDs, badges, and visitor logsPatrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle as requiredRespond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a professional mannerComplete accurate daily activity and incident reportsProvide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clientsEnforce site-specific rules, policies, and proceduresExperience:Prior security experience preferred but not requiredCustomer service or public-facing experience is a plusWhy Securitas? Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):May be required to hold and continue to meet the requirements for any applicable state, county and municipal license for Security Officers.Knowledge of security operations with an emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services.Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.Ability to be an effective team member.Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.Courteous telephone manner.Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures.Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.Good organizational skills.Strong customer service and results orientation.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, at various social levels and across diverse cultures.Working Conditions (Physical/Mental Demands): With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
