Access Control SpecialistThe Access Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility by managing visitor and employee access at perimeter posts. This role includes verifying identities, issuing and collecting badges, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all access procedures are followed efficiently and professionally.Duties & Responsibilities:Greet and screen visitors and deliveries in accordance with VAR security procedures.Issue temporary access badges promptly (approximately 5-15 minutes) and maintain daily inventory logs.Conduct accurate data entry and maintain detailed records of all access transactions.Enforce perimeter security policies and respond to security incidents as needed.Provide professional customer service while maintaining a secure environment.Other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):Knowledge of access control and perimeter security proceduresKnowledge of identity verification and visitor authorization processes (VAR)Strong customer service and professional communication skillsAccurate data entry and record-keeping skillsAbility to follow strict security procedures consistentlyAbility to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-traffic or high-pressure situationsMinimum/General Experience:Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable client specific adjudication2-5 years of experience in access control, visitor management, or security operations.Minimum Education:HS Diploma, or equivalentARMADA provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
