Access Representative - Patient Registration SpecialistJoin a compassionate healthcare team as an Access Representative, where your role is vital in gathering accurate demographic, financial, and clinical information to ensure smooth and complete patient registrations and admissions. This position requires a warm and responsive approach when interacting with patients, their families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues within a dynamic health environment.Education and ExperienceOne to two years of insurance or clerical experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred. Familiarity with insurance processes and payment collections is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology is important for success in this role.Skills and RequirementsProficiency with Microsoft Windows and basic computer functions is required.Typing and data entry skills must meet departmental productivity standards.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.Strong customer service skills, especially when working with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, are preferred.Critical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities are necessary to manage the complexities and stresses of a fast-paced healthcare setting.Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, operate office equipment, and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.Must be able to communicate effectively, see, and hear to collect necessary information.Shift rotations and regular days off may be required.
