Account Director – MVP Collaborative
MVP Collaborative is looking for an experienced Account Director who knows how to build strong client relationships, grow business, and create new opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who understands the agency world, enjoys being client-facing, and knows how to turn trust into long-term business. This role is ideal for someone who has built a strong network over the course of their career and brings a book of business or client relationships that can create near-term opportunities for MVP .
At the same time, this person needs to be a great account leader — someone who can understand a client’s business, bring proactive ideas to the table, and make sure the relationship continues to grow.
What You’ll Do
Build and deepen relationships with key clients and become a trusted strategic partner
Understand each client’s business, goals and challenges — and look for ways MVP can help
Bring new relationships and business opportunities into MVP through your established network
Lead client conversations, presentations and strategic planning
Work closely with creative, production and project management teams to develop smart, effective solutions
Help shape proposals, presentations and new-business opportunities
Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the life of an account
Keep an eye on budgets, profitability and overall account health
Help make sure our clients feel supported, confident and well taken care of
Stay focused on both the work in front of us and the next opportunity
and have fun in this role!
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of agency, marketing, communications or client-services experience
Strong experience with meetings, events, experiential marketing, communications or related agency work
A proven track record of building and growing client relationships
An established network and a book of business or relationships with real revenue potential
Strong business-development instincts and the ability to recognize opportunities
Confidence working with senior-level clients and decision-makers
Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
A strategic mindset with the ability to connect client needs to creative solutions
Strong organization, follow-through and personal accountability
Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field preferred
