We promote long-term success, not just for our clients but for our team, helping you develop a professional roadmap that takes your career to new heights.About the RoleCodal is looking for an Account Executive to build and drive new business, starting with the first conversation and carrying it all the way through to a signed deal. This is a relationship-driven role for someone who thrives on building a pipeline from scratch and opening doors with prospects. You'll identify targets, start conversations, qualify interest, and lead prospects through proposals and negotiation to close, partnering closely with our delivery and solutions teams to shape the right approach for each client.We're especially interested in people with a consultancy or agency background, but we're just as open to candidates from partnership and channel roles, or other strong outbound performers who know how to prospect and aren't afraid to build something from the ground up.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect and qualify outbound leads across phone, email, LinkedIn, and events to build a strong top-of-funnel pipelineIdentify key decision makers within target accounts, build trust, and develop relationships on behalf of CodalResearch and understand prospect business challenges, and position Codal's services as relevant solutionsCollaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and partnerships to align on target accounts and messagingStay current on industry trends across e-commerce, CMS, and digital transformation to speak credibly with prospectsTrack activity and pipeline in Salesforce, and report on key sales performance metricsContinuously test and refine outbound approaches, bringing your own ideas to the tableRepresent Codal at industry conferences and trade shows, with occasional travel as neededWhat You Bring3+ years of relevant outbound sales experience, ideally from a consultancy, agency, or partnership/channel environmentA track record of building pipeline and hitting quota through self-sourced outreachComfort with cold calling, cold emailing, and social selling as part of a multi-channel approachExperience working in Salesforce or a similar CRMFamiliarity with sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Google Workspace, and AI tools like Claude or GeminiStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle objections and hold a business conversationA self-starter mentality: comfortable with ambiguity, proactive, and willing to roll up your sleevesStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities at onceWhy CodalA global digital consultancy with offices in the US, UK, and India, and 200+ employeesDowntown Chicago office with a gym, food court, rooftop bar, and outdoor sports courtMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) matchTeam events, happy hours, and recreational sports leaguesReal opportunity for career growth as our sales team scalesWe continually review ranges to address skills, experience and markets.
