GOGov is an established & fast-growing software company in the highly attractive GovTech space based out of Long Island, NY.
We supply 650+ municipalities around the country with the tools necessary to maintain, develop and connect millions of citizens with their local governments. Through programs like Citizen Request, Mobile Notifications and Online Permitting – we make Government Simple for citizens, elected officials and the staff that manage it.
We are seeking a consultative, full-cycle Account Executive to help us grow our footprint with municipalities nationwide.
YOUR MISSION
You'll own the full sales cycle for a territory of municipal prospects, from prospecting to signed contract. A big part of that is the demo: you'll run engaging, interactive walkthroughs across our product suite, tailored to whichever stakeholder and pain point is in the room. You'll partner closely with our marketing and SDR teams on lead hand-off, run consultative discovery that uncovers the real operational pain behind a request, and guide multi-stakeholder buying committees to a decision.
COMPENSATION
OTE $160,000-$200,000+/year (uncapped commission) | Base salary $70,000-$90,000

RESPONSIBILITIES
Run interactive product demos across our suite, tailored to audiences ranging from department staff to elected officials, and become a subject matter expert on GOGov's platform.
Own the full sales cycle for an assigned territory of municipal prospects, from first qualified conversation through signed contract.
Lead discovery that uncovers the real operational pain and reframes the conversation around a connected platform, not a point tool.
Navigate multi-stakeholder, RFP-driven municipal buying processes and respond accurately and on deadline.
Coordinate hand-offs with SDR at the start and Customer Success at close so opportunities start and land well.
Keep Salesforce activity, notes, and forecasts accurate and current.
Represent GOGov at municipal conferences and trade shows (10+ per year).
Qualifications
5-7+ years managing a full sales cycle, with a track record of hitting quota as a consistent performer.
Confident running live demonstrations of multiple software products over Zoom; comfortable adapting your pitch across different modules and stakeholders.
Proficient with Salesforce and a disciplined approach to pipeline management.
Strong discovery and consultative selling skills; you ask before you pitch.
Experience navigating multi-stakeholder, RFP-driven sales cycles; government, municipal, or public-sector experience is a strong plus. xhqgsiq
Background in GovTech, public-sector/B2B SaaS or Enterprise Sales is a plus, but not required.
