nThe University of Miami/UHealth Miami Transplant Institute has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Accountant 3 to work in Miami.
nCORE JOB SUMMARY
nThe Accountant 3 maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. This position safeguards the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
nCORE JOB FUNCTIONS
nnnPrepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
n
nnAnalyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
n
nnOversees, mentors, and assists lower-level accountants.
n
nnAvoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
n
nnProtects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
n
nnUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
n
nnPrepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
n
nnCreates financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders.
n
nnAdheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

nBachelor’s degree in relevant field required
nCertification and Licensing:
