American Roofing & Waterproofing, LLC is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Accountant to join our growing team and oversee our day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
We are looking for a rockstar , problem solver, and highly motivated professional who enjoys taking the lead, thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, and takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing accurate financial reporting while supporting the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day accounting operations
Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
Increase collections and maintain receivables within company goals
Ensure jobs are accurately job costed and closed within 30 days or less
Maintain accurate financial records and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and account reconciliations
Coordinate with ownership, CPA, auditors, banks, and financial institutions
Ensure compliance with payroll, sales tax, and accounting regulations
Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
Support ownership with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reporting
Qualifications 5+ years of accounting experience , preferably in construction or roofing
Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks and AccuLynx
Strong experience with job costing, collections, WIP reporting, and financial reporting
Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional organizational skills
Strong problem-solving abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead accounting operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
