Job description
AccountantThis role is ideal for a detail oriented, organized professional who can independently manage accounting functions within a female office environment. The Accountant will oversee day to day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support leadership with financial analysis. Experience in real estate or property management is strongly preferred.You will handle monthly financials, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and work closely with property managers to ensure accurate financial tracking across multiple assets. The position requires strong technical ability, reliability, and excellent communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Manage monthly financials, including journal entries and general ledger workPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsOversee AP/AR processes and ensure payments are handled properlyConduct bank reconciliations and maintain organized financial recordsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementWork with property managers to ensure accurate property level reportingMaintain compliance with internal policies and accounting standardsQualifications:3–5 years of accounting experience requiredProperty management / rental industry experience strongly preferredProficiency with accounting software and ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLocation: Queens, NYType: Full timeSalary: $100,000/year
