nE.H. Wachs , an ITW company, is seeking an Accountant to join its accounting team in Lincolnshire, IL. This onsite role will be responsible for driving results by accurately preparing, interpreting and communicating all division financial information. As an active member of our core accounting team, you will play a key role in adhering to and applying all ITW principles, procedures and internal controls. nWhat you will do and impact
nAccounting Excellence, Analysis and Reporting
nIn this role, you'll go beyond traditional accounting by helping transform financial data into meaningful business insights. Through financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and decision support, you'll partner with teams across the organization to identify trends, improve processes, and support the achievement of key business objectives.
nnnSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes, account reconciliations, and prepare annual tax reporting.

nnPrepare accurate financial statements, maintain/reconcile ledger accounts, update and effectively report out on department budgets.
n
nnProvide sales and inventory analysis reports as needed to help support the division.
n
nnProvide timely data through ad-hoc reporting for other managers to assist with decision-making.
n
nnEnsure the integrity of data. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to management for strategic decision-making.
n
nnLeverage available tools and technologies to analyze data to support process improvements and operational decisions.
n
n nBusiness Partnership and Financial Insight
nSuccess in this role requires more than strong technical accounting skills. You'll work with employees across the business to help build financial understanding and connect day-to-day activities to business performance.
nnnAssist employees in understanding how their decisions will impact financial results.

nnIdentifies, communicates, and trains others on key business drivers to enhance overall financial awareness.

nnSupport leaders by providing meaningful financial information that helps guide decision-making.

n nCross Functional Collaboration
nThis role works closely with teams across the organization to understand processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives that strengthen both financial and operational performance.
nnnCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, solve problems, and support business objectives.
n
nnSupports inventory management by maintaining cost files, actively participating in establishing/maintaining inventory controls, and physical inventory, monitoring months on hand, and actively participating in monthly inventory review meetings.
n
nnAssists with capital expenditure requests and manages fixed assets within the division.
n
nnParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting, controls, and business processes.

nnIdentify opportunities to simplify accounting processes, reduce complexity, and improve efficiency

n nQualifications
nnnBachelor's degree in accounting or related field plus a minimum of 1-2 years of broad accounting experience is required, 3-5 years preferred.
n
nnCost accounting experience in manufacturing is highly preferred.
n
nnERP and Financial Reporting software experience is required.
n
nnComputer proficiency, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word is required.
n
nnAbility to analyze financial information and communicate findings effectively.

nThe annual base salary range for this position is $66,000 - 75,000 annually. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. The company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
