Job Duties
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Track and analyze job costs, project expenses, and profitability.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll taxes and reporting requirements.
Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory reports.
Monitor project billing, progress billing, and collections.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
Maintain accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Collaborate with project managers and leadership on financial performance and cost controls.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Professional accounting certifications or continuing education are beneficial.

Experience Requirements
Experience preparing, reviewing, and maintaining financial records and accounting documentation.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience using accounting software, spreadsheets, and enterprise financial systems.
Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive financial information.
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, contracting, or project-based industries.
Knowledge of job costing, project accounting, and progress billing is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis, auditing, budgeting, or corporate finance is preferred.
Experience with ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software is beneficial.
Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax preparation, compliance, or internal controls is considered an asset.
Individuals who demonstrate professionalism, analytical thinking, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are well positioned for success as a Accountant.
Physical Capabilities
Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to review detailed financial documents and perform accurate data analysis.
Ability to occasionally lift office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform normal office duties while maintaining productivity and attention to detail throughout the workday.
