Job description
Addison Group is seeking a GL Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working across the general ledger, investigating discrepancies, and improving accounting processes.
Location: Oakton VA - 2x on site
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $80-85K (depending on experience)
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision & 401k match.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close
Investigate account discrepancies and make necessary corrections
Assist with financial reporting, audits, and process improvements
Qualifications
3+ years of general ledger or full-cycle accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong journal entry, reconciliation, and month-end close experience
Proficiency in Excel and experience with an accounting or ERP system
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
