Are you an experienced accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and making a meaningful impact in a smaller firm environment? Our client, an established and growing tax and accounting practice, is seeking an Accountant to join their team.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with individual and business clients while enjoying flexibility, autonomy, and long-term growth potential. The ideal candidate is experienced in tax preparation, enjoys building relationships with clients, and thrives in a collaborative, professional environment.

Schedule:Monday through Friday schedule with flexible hours. Full-time preferred, though part-time arrangements may be available for the right candidate.

Increased hours expected during tax season (mid-January through April).

Opportunity for reduced or flexible hours outside of tax season.

Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits:$30+ per hour, depending on experience.

401K with employer match up to 3%.

Responsibilities:Prepare and review individual tax returns (1040).

Prepare business tax returns, including 1065, 1120, and 1120S filings.

Assist clients with accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll-related needs.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Support year-end accounting and tax preparation activities.

Communicate directly with clients regarding financial and tax matters.

Utilize tax and accounting software to manage client accounts and filings.

Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of accounting, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience is required.

Experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns is required.

CPA designation preferred but not required.

Familiarity with tax preparation software.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
