nACCOUNTANT
nPrimary Responsibilities

nThe new Accountant will oversee the day-to-day operation of Business Office functions and strategic financial planning. In short, you will manage the daily activities of the accounting department.
nJob Description
n· Ensure completion of month-end reports, bank reconciliations and payroll processing
n· Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting and inventory management in a constant search for operational efficiency.
n· Compile and analyze financial information, report cost/benefit findings and make improvement recommendations.
n· Assist in the coordination and review of agency financial audits and annual reviews
n· Collect and provide information for audit inquiries and give assistance to auditors.
n· Directing Accounts Payable function ensuring accurate and timely processing of payables, vendors, and employee expenses.
n· Directing Accounts Receivables function ensuring accurate and timely processing of receivables.
n· Leading effort to continuously improve AP and AR Asset processes with automation, standardization and procedural enhancements with a focus on efficiency, accuracy and customer service. Developing a system of controls to ensure data integrity.
n· Collaborating with Engineering, Operations and all other company team members to identify, coordinating and implementing systems and process improvements with a focus on efficiency, accuracy and customer service;
n· Serves as the Project Manager for any system upgrade or implementation; and develops a system of controls to ensure data integrity.
n· Oversee the migration to a new ERP system
n· Oversee all Purchasing functions
n· Perform other duties as assigned
nQualifications
n· B.S. in Accounting or Finance REQUIRED
n· Five years of progressively responsible accounting experience preferred
n· Experience working with MS Office Products - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
n· Experience with QuickBooks desktop and Online
n· Experience with transitioning to new ERP systems highly desired
n· Experience readying a company for a merger/ acquisition highly desired
n· Leadership and/or supervisory experience of accounting teams in very fast paced environments is critical.
n· Strong written and oral communications skills
n· Ability to develop, analyze and interpret complex reports
n· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
n· Strong initiative and self-motivation with ability to work with minimal supervision.
n· Strong ability to self-regulate and stay cool and consistent under deadlines and work surges.
n· Detail oriented with good organizational skills
n· A self-starter approach along with the ability and desire to learn quickly and become a versatile team player
