Job description
Job Title: Accountant
nFlexible but San Antonio, TX preferred
nPay Range $55/HR - $70/HR
nJefferson Wells is working with a leading financial institution committed to delivering exceptional banking services and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity. They are in need of multiple experienced Accountants to assist with year-end close.
nKey Responsibilities:
nnnPrepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
n
nnManage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
n
nnEnsure compliance with banking regulations, internal controls, and audit standards
n
nnAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
n
nnCollaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and strategic initiatives
n
nnRespond to auditor inquiries and maintain accurate documentation
n
n nQualifications:
nnnBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
n
nn5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in banking or financial services
n
nnStrong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance
n
nnProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
n
nnExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
