Job description
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $34.00 to $50.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Review and maintain general ledger activity to ensure accurate department coding and account usage.
Process vendor payments by reviewing invoices, managing approval queues, and preparing payment runs.
Record prepaid activity and ensure balances are properly tracked and amortized.
Assist with day to day accounting tasks while supporting continuity during role transition.
Requirements: Ability to perform month end close tasks independently and meet established deadlines.
Strong attention to detail when preparing reconciliations and reviewing account activity.
Experience processing accounts payable payments and resolving invoice questions.
Comfort working within a cloud based accounting environment and using collaboration tools.
Ability to support multiple priorities and adapt quickly during a backfill period.
Qualifications: Proficiency with NetSuite, including journal entries, general ledger coding, reconciliations, and close workflows.
Prior experience supporting month end close procedures in an accounting role.
Working knowledge of vendor payment processing and invoice review procedures.
Proficiency with Google tools such as Gmail and Google Sheets.
Previous experience in a senior or full cycle accounting role.
