Accountant Opportunity
If you're an accountant who actually enjoys digging into data, solving discrepancies, and figuring out why the numbers don't match, this could be a great next step.
Our client is a growing organization looking to add an Accountant to its team. This isn't a position where you'll spend your entire day buried in journal entries. You'll work with large amounts of operational and financial data, partner closely with internal teams, and play an important role in making sure billing, payroll calculations, and customer information are accurate.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is analytical, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable using Excel to make sense of complex information.
What You'll Be Doing
Review, reconcile, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources
Audit daily operational activity to identify missing or inaccurate information
Research discrepancies and work with internal teams and customers to resolve issues
Prepare accurate customer billing based on individual client requirements
Assist with onboarding new customers and translating their billing requirements into internal processes
Prepare and consolidate monthly statements for contract carriers
Review contract information and multiple data points to validate appropriate rates
Calculate and summarize driver payroll involving multiple rates, calculations, and differentials
Partner closely with operations and other teams to keep information accurate and deadlines on track
What They're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; comparable progressive accounting experience may be considered
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with and analyze large data sets
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to research discrepancies rather than simply identify them
Strong organization and time-management skills
Professional written and verbal communication
Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Comfortable collaborating with both internal teams and external customers
