Accounting AssistantDewey Dodge, a Ken Garff Automotive company, is currently looking for a talented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team in processing daily operational transactions and various other aspects of the automotive accounting field. At Ken Garff, we aim to become the most esteemed automotive group by treating people R.I.G.H.T and creating lifetime customers!This position will office in the Centralized Accounting Office in Clive, IA.Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm.Here's what you'll be doing:Prepare accounting entries and reconcile general ledgerEnsure timely processing of any check payments and/or ACH transactionsResearch and process cancellations & chargebacksReconcile & audit all product cancellation schedules & processesPost vehicle deals with related financial products, clear related financial schedules, and communicate with staff as neededProcess financial product invoices and reconcile associated financial schedulesProcess other vehicle related invoices from manufacturer and parent companyMaintain an organized processing systemAssist with performing accounts payable and accounts receivable dutiesOccasional filing and other general administrative duties as neededHere's what you'll need:Minimum of 1 or 2 years of accounting experienceHigh school diploma or the equivalent, with associate's degree in accounting or 2 years of commensurate dealership accounting experienceDealership accounting experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office software products, particularly Excel, and the general use of a computer and calculatorKnowledge of accounting software and dealership software a plusStrong numeracy, analytical, time management, verbal, and technology skillsMust have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and informationHere's why you'll want to work here:Great culture and real career growthCompetitive compensation packageAttractive schedule (Monday-Friday)Maternity and Parental programPaid Time Off and 401k with Company matchMedical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-term disability, AD&D and Life InsuranceYear-end bonus program for all employees (Garff Giveback)Employee discounts on Vehicle Purchase, Parts, Service and More!If you are eager to make a difference, have strong attention to detail and are looking for an organization that treats you RIGHT, then we want to hear from you!We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
