Accounting AssistantWe are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a well-established team in the upstate area. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting support experience who can contribute across tax filings, payables, payroll, and asset tracking. The position offers the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment where accuracy, organization, and follow-through are essential to daily operations.Responsibilities:• Prepare and submit sales and use tax filings in a timely manner while maintaining accurate supporting documentation.• Assist with accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, matching records, and helping ensure prompt payment processing.• Support payroll administration by entering and verifying payroll data and helping maintain accurate employee payment records.• Manage fixed asset records by updating asset details, tracking additions and disposals, and maintaining organized documentation.• Calculate and record monthly depreciation entries to support accurate financial reporting.• Maintain vendor information by updating files, verifying details, and ensuring records remain complete and current.• Use Microsoft Excel to organize financial data, reconcile information, and prepare routine accounting reports.
