As a growing team, we work hard and play harder with many special activities throughout the year.Apply today and experience just how awesome being a part of the Paragon Star team can be.What You'll Do:Enter data from source documents into accounting system, databases, or spreadsheetsPost accounts receivable and accounts payable journal entries into the accounting systemCreate invoices in the accounting system and distribute to customersVerify and input accounts payable details and assist with the check payment processComplete daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliationsMonitor and record incoming payments and depositsPrepare data for sales and use tax paymentsEffectively communicate and work with a variety of associates regarding invoicing and payment approvals for sports eventsEffectively communicate with external vendors regarding set-up requirements, credits, and discrepanciesAssist with credit card expense reconciliation and posting journal entriesIdentify and escalate priority issuesRepresent the department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established company standards and associate attributes at all timesOther administrative duties – general filing and copying as assignedSkills You'll Need:Associate degree in accounting or related field1-3 years of accounts receivable / accounts payable experience preferredDemonstrated ability to solve problems, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentGoal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization as well as interface with customers and vendorsExcellent verbal & written communication skillsAbility to keep sensitive information confidentialIntermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs – Excel, Word and Sage Intacct software is a plusCompensation and BenefitsWe are currently seeking a part-time position, however with work demand it could evolve into a full-time position. Hourly pay rate begins at $22/hr. and pay will be commensurate with experience.
