Job description
Accounting ClerkWe are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support a manufacturing operation in Andrews, South Carolina through a contract assignment expected to last about 8 weeks, with potential to extend based on business needs. This fully onsite role works closely with the Controller and bookkeeping team, handling day-to-day accounting activity in a collaborative environment with frequent interaction across the site. The position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing transactional accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and helping keep financial processes running smoothly.Responsibilities:Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and help ensure accounts payable activity is completed accurately and on schedule.Monitor incoming payments, record customer transactions, and maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records.Receive and remit checks while keeping detailed documentation for all related accounting entries.Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Support routine bookkeeping work and assist with project-based accounting needs during a busy period.Partner with the Controller and other team members to organize records, resolve discrepancies, and keep workflows moving efficiently.Communicate with internal staff as needed to gather information, clarify payment details, and support daily accounting operations.Contribute to additional accounting and administrative tasks as priorities shift through the assignment.
