Accounting ClerkAccounting Clerk Pay Rate: $22/hour Location: Humble, TX 77338 Schedule: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, M-F Temp to Hire, with Excellent Company Benefits after completion of probation period. Company pays 100% of employee med/dental/life/ltd., 50% of dependent health insurance, 401K match up to 5%, plus holiday and vacation pay Duties and ResponsibilitiesMeet and Greet VisitorsCover phone calls and direct to relevant departmentCheck and Distribute MailAssist Operations Production Administrator (PA) as needed to Deposit ChecksProcess accounts payable invoices and match supporting documentationAssist with accounts receivable invoicing and collections follow-upEnter accounting transactions into ERP (EPICOR) softwareReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesAssist Operations PA to set up new vendors and customers on Epicor, request information - W9. Resale Cert, COI, references, banking details, complete credit applications from vendorsMaintain accounting files and supporting documentationAssist with month-end closing activitiesPrepare reports and spreadsheets using ExcelPerform data entry and general administrative accounting tasksAssist Operations PA in credit control, review, maintain send statements and chase outstanding paymentsAssist Operations PA to administer month-end revenue invoices to set deadlines with the distribution to relevant companies and internallyAssist Operations PA to coordinate monthly reports compilation and weekly department reportsAssist with audit preparation and document retrievalAssist Operations PA to process expense reportsAssist Operations PA to raise Commercial Invoices, liaise se with Freight CompaniesThe maintenance of, adherence to and improvement of the Reactive Downhole Tools quality systems and procedures, including but not restricted to continual ISO 9001 complianceDevelop, support and actively encourage a culture of continual improvement by implementing improvement programs that involve team members and other employeesSupport all Company functions and personnel in the timely and effective delivery of all business goals and objectivesSupport, encourage and implement a'make it happen' and 'do it now' cultureUndertake any other duties as requested by Line ManagerCompetency Requirement:Degreed or currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessCompletion of introductory accounting coursework preferredProficiency in Microsoft OfficeWorking knowledge of ERP packages, EPICOR advantageousExperience in a busy office environmentExperience of work to deadlines and prioritizing workloadsRecognized qualification in business administration or equivalent industry experienceExcellent communication skillsAbility to work without supervisionExceptional planning and organizational skillsAbility to work to short deadlines, maintaining accuracyFlexible approachProactive, strong initiative skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of accounting experience or Associates Degree in Accounting or relatedOral and written communication skills in English for intended audiencePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior internship or office experience in an accounting roleKnowledge of Epicor or other ERP systemManufacturing experienceCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $22.00 Per HourAll compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
