Accounting Coordinator - District Office
8 hrs day / 260 Work Days
Salary: $77,095 - $91,565
General Description: Under the direction of the Executive Director of Business and Finance, this position will be responsible for highly technical work regarding: enrollment, contracts, insurance, system user access, continuing disclosures requirements, Administrative Match reporting, and Capital Projects Fund accounting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Prepare and transmit to OSPI student enrollment reports in accordance with OSPI reporting requirements.
Provide assistance to building staff related to student enrollment and choice
Review all district contracts for completeness, accuracy, and legal compliance
Oversees all aspects of district insurance, including acting as point of contact with broker and insurance companies
Maintain property and vehicle files
Oversee Finance Department user access in school information systems (Skyward), InTouch and Amazon accounts, and assignment of Department of Revenue (DOR) district contacts.
Prepare and submit annual Continuing Disclosure filing with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC)
Oversee Health Care Authority Administrative Match Program and ensure timely quarterly submissions
Responsible for all aspects of the Capital Projects Fund, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and procedures.
Assist Information Coordinator in facilitating meetings with administrative assistants and office managers
Assist in developing and implementing training of staff on systems use.
Other duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Bachelor's degree in data processing or business administration preferred or comparable school district experience
Experience with school information systems preferred, including Skyward or Qmlative
Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Washington State Driver's license
Schedule: Open Until Filled.

Benefits: Health insurance benefits for employees working 630 hours or more per year include medical, dental, vision, life and long term disability plans through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Retirement benefits are provided through the WA State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS).
180 - 219 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 10 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days and 11 holidays.
220 - 259 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 10 days of sick leave, 3 personal leave days and 11 holidays.
260 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 12 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days, 14 holidays and 12 vacation days.
Benefits may be prorated based upon date of hire/hours per day.
Immigration Reform and Control Act Requirement: The recommended applicant, if not a current regular employee, will be required to complete an INS I-9 form and must provide proof of employment eligibility prior to working.
Disclosure Statement and Record Check: Pursuant to Chapter 486, Washington Laws of 1987, the recommended applicant, if not a current regular employee, will be required to complete a disclosure form indicating whether he or she has been convicted of crimes against persons listed in the law. In addition, a background check, based on fingerprints, will be requested from the Washington State Patrol & FBI. Employment is conditional based upon completion of the record check.
