About the Role

We’re hiring a highly detail-oriented and execution-driven Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, month-end close, payroll, and core accounting operations across complex client accounts.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in structured environments, takes ownership of financial accuracy, and can manage multi-entity, multi-location accounting workflows.

This role is not focused on basic bookkeeping or data entry — it requires strong financial understanding, accrual-based accounting expertise, and the ability to handle complex accounting structures.

Execute month-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare and maintain financial reports aligned with client requirements.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Provide financial analysis and data visualization for decision-making.

Process Improvement & Documentation

Review and document existing accounting processes.

Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Standardize workflows across clients and systems.

Client & Internal Coordination

Communicate regularly with leadership on priorities and deliverables.

Support client-facing communication when required.

Ensure alignment on reporting timelines and expectations.

Must-Have Experience & Skills

Non-Negotiables

5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.

Strong experience with accrual accounting / GAAP financials (not just cash-based accounting).

Experience managing multi-entity, multi-location, or multi-segment businesses.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (and/or Desktop/Enterprise).

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, Data Tables).

Experience processing payroll using systems such as Gusto (or similar).

Experience with U.S. sales tax filings.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with NetSuite.

Familiarity with Paylocity or ADP.

Experience using Ramp or Bill.com.

Exposure to time-tracking tools such as Clockify.

Background working in outsourced accounting firms or similar environments.

Operational Environment (Important)

This role is execution-focused and accuracy-driven.

You’ll be supported by:

Structured workflows and accounting systems.

Clear expectations on reporting and timelines.

Your ownership is focused on:

Accurate financial reporting and clean month-end closes.

Strong payroll and compliance execution.

Maintaining organized and error-free accounting systems.

Managing complex accounting structures with confidence.

Proactively identifying and solving accounting issues.

This role rewards precision, accountability, consistency, and strong financial ownership.
