Carolina PRG is partnering with a leading billion-dollar North American organization headquartered in Charlotte, NC to identify a Segment Accounting Manage r. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys owning the financials for a business segment while working closely with operational and corporate leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for an assigned business segment, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet activity.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying trends, variances, and unusual activity.
Ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
Partner with segment and operational leadership to provide financial insight and support business decisions.
Support internal and external audits and maintain appropriate internal controls.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and increase efficiencies across the accounting function.
Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and other departments on reporting, forecasting, and special projects.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance required
CPA or public accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience leading the month-end close.
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, and balance sheet accounting.
Experience within a large, multi-location or multi-entity organization is highly desirable. xavwley
