Accounting Manager to own the month-end close and financial reporting, and to make both faster and cleaner. You’ll lead a team, and work alongside operations on cost and inventory accounting.
What you’ll do
Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and deliver it on schedule
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Produce GAAP financial statements with flux and budget-to-actual analysis for leadership
Act as the main contact for external auditors
Shorten the close by automating manual work and getting more out of the ERP
Document procedures and strengthen internal controls
Partner with cost accounting and operations on standard costs, variance analysis, and inventory valuation and reserves
Support physical inventories and cycle counts
Supervise and develop accounting staff
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of the month-end close
Experience in manufacturing or another inventory-based business
Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel xzgxqkn
ERP experience
A track record of improving a process or shortening a close
CPA or CPA candidate preferred; public accounting background a plus
