Job description
Why This Role
This is a hands-on leadership seat for someone who wants ownership of the full accounting function, not just close-and-report, but treasury, tax, audit, AP/AR, and benefits administration all under one roof. The business runs fast-paced, high-volume, multi-location operations (including airport authority reporting), so no two months look the same. If you're tired of being one cog in a large finance org and want to actually run the shop while reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, this is built for that.
Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will own the daily accounting operations for a luxury hospitality and airline catering business, managing month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, budgeting support, treasury, tax compliance, and audit coordination. This person will lead a team, maintain strong internal controls, and serve as a key financial partner to operational leadership as the company continues to grow.

Submit required financial reports to airport authorities (JFK and LAX operations)
Oversee treasury functions: daily cash management, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, liquidity management
Oversee full AP and AR functions, including invoice review/coding and use tax compliance
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting; partner with business leaders on financial performance analysis
Assist with 401(k)/pension plan financial statements and ensure accurate, timely contribution submissions

Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, with hands-on experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and tax compliance
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/accounting systems
