Accounting Manager
Addison Group is representing a growing start-up technology-driven organization who is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its finance leadership team. This role offers significant visibility across the business and the opportunity to lead critical accounting operations, financial reporting, process improvements, and strategic finance initiatives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
What You'll Do
Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions.
Support external audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Assist with external reporting, technical accounting research, and implementation of new accounting standards.
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and related controls.
Implement and advise on accounting process improvements and system optimization initiatives.
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, and business leaders.
Support strategic projects, including business integrations, systems implementations, and operational improvement efforts.
Mentor and develop accounting team members as the organization grows.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Leadership or supervisory experience within an accounting organization.
Experience auditing or working in a SOX environment required.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and SEC preferred.
Experience leading complex month-end close processes.
Background in multi-entity accounting environments.
Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, or large-scale system improvements.
Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Excellent communication and confident.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA designation
Combination of public accounting and industry experience.
Experience in technology, manufacturing, hardware, or other complex operational environments.
Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations and accounting implications.
Experience working within a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
Base salary range $140,000 to $155,000 dependent on experience. Discretionary annual bonus. Future equity. Medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
In-office Monday to Thursday, Friday remote.
