Job description
MV Transportation seeks an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations supporting safe, reliable transit services. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role manages general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting for a multi-location transportation business. The Accounting Manager will develop budgets and forecasts, perform variance and trend analysis, and provide clear financial insights to operations leaders. This position also maintains strong internal controls, supports audits, and drives process improvements in a culture focused on safety, respect, and community service. Supervisory responsibilities include coaching and developing accounting staff while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
