Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek an Accounting Manager to join their Rockville Centre, NY office.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage audit engagements, reviews, and compilations in compliance with GAAS and GAAP
Assess internal controls, identify risks, and evaluate management’s financial assertions
Analyze financial statements for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Contribute to the preparation and review of audit reports and supporting documentation
Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns while advising on tax planning strategies
Investigate complex tax issues and represent clients before the IRS or other tax authorities
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and stay current on regulatory changes
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service delivery
Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff to support their growth and ensure high-quality work
Promote a collaborative team environment while identifying opportunities for added client value
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related field
5+ years of experience in public accounting
Experience in both audit and tax services
Experience preparing a variety of tax returns
In depth knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and relevant tax laws and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
CPA license preferred
