Job description

Venturity is seeking a Controller level Project / Implementation Director. This is a GREAT position for someone who has the technical accounting expertise and thrives on client interaction. As a Project / Implementation Director, you will lead a team that is responsible for on-boarding new clients – hosting implementation meetings with clients, creating and managing project plans, managing team capacity and scheduling workflow, and leading/performing complex projects and accounting tasks.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

Must have 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience.

Experience with multi-company business

Experience in expanding, fast growing organizations.

Strong technical understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.

Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred, Great Plains and other accounting software a plus.

Extensive full cycle accounting experience including closing the books and financial statement preparation and analysis required.

Prior leadership or Controllership experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

Advanced Excel skills

Extremely detail oriented with high degree of accuracy in all aspects of reporting and communication

Willingness to lead, train and develop others

Ability to effectively communicate financial concepts and data

A goal-oriented, collaborative team player

Professional approach to work, strong interpersonal skills and service-oriented mindset

Ability to adapt to multiple accounting systems

Good organizational skills with ability to set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (both internally and with clients)
