Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable Pay Range: Pay Group 3: $56,701-$71,918Reports to: CFO/TreasurerBasic Function: To serve, assist and support the office and maintain a high level of efficiency, professionalism and effectiveness in the school district. Accounting Specialist provides a multitude of functions in the Treasurer's office.Qualifications:Strong interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with district employeesWork history that demonstrates responsibility, reliability, and good attendanceAbility to work independentlyKnowledge of Infinite Campus preferredKnowledge of State Software RedesignKnowledge of SCView, DocuWare, Edge Solutions preferredProficient with Microsoft Excel and WordOpen to change and willing to be involved in the change processHigh School DiplomaExperience with accounts payable and accounts receivable preferredResponsibilities:Process Purchase Orders through the SCView system, distribute Purchase Orders to buildings, follow Purchase order procedures from start to finishProcess invoices and payments via the Accounts Payable functionProvide a variety of Accounts Payable functions to the Treasurer's officeProcess deposits which arrive at the Board of EducationPost district receipts including recurring payments from the state and local governmentsStudent activity functions including fundraisers, budgets and cash advancesScanning of all payment and receipt packets into DocuWareBe familiar with and carry out the school policies as directed by the school board, superintendent and treasurerAdhere to Ohio Ethics Law, including confidentialityAssist with the daily operation of the Treasurer's officeMaintain public records requests as required by Ohio Sunshine LawMonitor and process budgetary transfers and transactions as neededAny and all other duties assigned by the CFO/Treasurer
