Accounting Specialist - Black Hills Harley DavidsonBlack Hills Harley-Davidson® is a full-service Harley-Davidson® dealership and is home to the largest selection of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, parts, accessories, and MotorClothes® apparel in the MIDWEST! Our inviting store is nestled just west of Rapid City - in the heart of the Black Hills of South Dakota. We're known nationwide for being a premier dealership with Certified Harley-Davidson® Technicians, friendly parts staff, helpful motorclothes associates, and a knowledgeable Motorcycle Sales Team that can help you with the purchase of your new Harley-Davidson® or with one of our hundreds of pre-owned motorcycles available. Each year, Black Hills Harley-Davidson® plays host to over 100 of the industry's best brands and companies who showcase their products on our 40-acre layout during the world-famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which we call "The Rally at Exit 55".Black Hills Harley-Davidson is looking to hire an Accounting Specialist to join our team and help keep our dealership running smoothly, especially during the high-volume excitement of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, where we sell up to 1,500 motorcycles in just a few weeks.Position Summary:This position's primary responsibility will be supporting the entire accounting team. Duties will include but not limited to bank/deposit posting and reconciliation, posting motorcycle sales deals and ensuring compliance with all legal, internal, and manufacturer requirements. You will help ensure every sale is documented, accurate, and ready to move to the next phase. You may also participate in other duties such as lien payoffs, floorplan payments, physical inventories, account reconciliations, and other accounting tasks. This position will also cross train on vehicle title and licensing.Key Responsibilities:Bank entries and depositsInvoice postingPost new and used motorcycle deals accurately and promptly.Review and verify deal paperwork for legal and internal compliance.Issue payoffs for trade-in vehicles.Process and post OEM and finance incentives and cancellations.Payoffs and titlesFlooring audits and processingPhysical inventoriesAccount reconciliationsOur Culture:Our dealerships place a high priority on customer satisfaction. Your enthusiasm, positive attitude and great communication skills will help ensure that Black Hills Harley-Davidson continues to be the best place to work, and in turn, the best place for our customers to shop.What we are looking for:Minimum two years prior accounting dealership or Powersports experience.Lightspeed DMS experience is highly preferred.Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)Demonstrated proficiency in basic accounting concepts, specifically account reconciliations.Excellent communication skills.Due to the extreme seasonal nature of our business, during the rally season, you must be flexible in your hours and availability.What we offer:Competitive payHealth, Dental, 401kPTOFun, collaborative work environmentSalary starting at $45K per year depending on experience.
