The Mission: As an Accounting Specialist , you serve as the foundational transactional expert and administrative backbone of our accounting team . Reporting to the Controller at our Campbellsport office, you are responsible for executing daily cash and general ledger balancing while providing core operational support across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role requires a steady, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in applying true accounting mechanics to maintain pristine financial records and keep our day-to-day transaction engine running flawlessly.
Defining the Role: Daily & Monthly Balancing : Perform accurate daily cash drawer balancing, bank deposits, and month-end ledger balancing.
AP & AR Operational Support : Manage high-volume end-to-end Accounts Payable, prepare & execute vendor disbursements, process customer billing, and apply daily receipts.
Administrative Backend Support : Handle task-based accounting duties, including GL account reconciliations and month-end schedule preparation, to streamline team workflows and support the Controller.
Fundamental Accounting Accuracy : Apply a strong, educated understanding of debits, credits, and journal entries to maintain General Ledger integrity.
The Essentials: Education & Experience : An Accounting or Finance Degree OR 4 to 5 years of dedicated, relevant accounting experience is required.
Accounting Competency : Must possess a strong, fundamental understanding of accounting principles (e.g., strong grasp of debits/credits and journal entries)—this is a non-negotiable.

Balance In Action: Reliable Schedule : This is a permanent, full-time role working a standard 5-day, 8-hour schedule (Monday through Friday) to ensure consistent department operations.
