We're proud to have been named Dealer of the Year twice by Window & Door Magazine and honored as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace 11 times!About the JobAs an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the full accounts payable cycle, supporting accounts receivable activities, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations. This position involves handling a high volume of transactions and requires strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and general ledger systems is a strong plus.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport leadership of the Accounting and Finance department to ensure efficient and accurate financial operationsProcess invoices from external material vendors, verifying the accuracy of inventory received and related paymentsAccurately record and code invoices from utility, marketing, insurance, and other vendors in the Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting systemExecute weekly disbursements via check, ACH, and credit card paymentsProcess and verify customer payments, ensuring timely and accurate recording in Feldco's financial systemsRequest funding proceeds from lending partners, audit daily proceeds, and apply payments accordinglyReconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment with records in the Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting systemProcess and audit employee reimbursements and customer referrals to ensure compliance with company policiesRegister product warranties for customers in a timely and accurate mannerSupport ad-hoc projects within the Accounting and Finance departmentContribute to on-going process improvement initiatives and foster effective cross-department communication.Demonstrate commitment to Feldco's Keys to Success: Customer Delight, Professionalism, Teamwork, Productivity, and Accountability.Job Requirements2+ years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experienceIntermediate to advanced MS Excel skillsFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferred)Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasksComfortable working in a fast-paced office environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWhy Join Feldco?Industry Leadership: #1 in Midwest home improvement solutionsGrowth & Stability: With 50 years in business and still growingAward-Winning Culture: 12-time Top Workplace winner by the Chicago TribuneCareer Development: We promote from within and reward performanceTeam-Oriented Environment: Be part of a collaborative culture that values every team member's contributionBenefits Offered to Feldco EmployeesHealth: Comprehensive medical coverage, including options for PPO and HMO plans.
