Job description
USAirports Flight Support is a family-owned, full service FBO that operates 24/7/365 and serves the general aviation community in a state-of-the-art facility at Frederick Douglass - Greater Rochester International Airport. USAirports provides a full range of amenities and support services such as fueling, deicing, hangaring, aircraft maintenance, cargo handling, tie-down, and ramp parking to the airlines, general aviation, and transient aircraft on the airfield.
Accounting specialists work closely with several departments to ensure billing is provided to our customers in a timely manner. This position is responsible for preparing daily and monthly reconciliations, accounting reports, and provides support to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and audit requests. Accounting specialists must focus heavily on accuracy and attention to detail when preparing reconciliations, invoicing, and data entry.

Reports To: Accounting Manager
Full-Time Hours: 8am - 5pm
Workdays: Monday - Friday (onsite)
Hourly Rate: $23.00 to $29.00/hr. Based on Experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Invoice processing
Data entry (daily and monthly) relying heavily on accuracy and efficiency
Basic reconciliations (daily and monthly)
Support accounts payable as needed
Support accounts receivable as needed
Prepare reporting as requested
Respond to routine requests for financial documentation
File and organize invoicing
Work with multiple departments as a team to ensure a positive result is delivered to the customer
Assist with audits as requested
RequirementsAssociate Degree in Accounting/Finance
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in A/P, A/R, and billing
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a valid NYS Driver's License
QUALIFICATIONS Dependable, punctual, and accountable
Friendly personality, professional attitude, and self-motivation
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment
Knowledge of billing standards and GAAP
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Discretion in handling confidential information
Advanced skills in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proficiency in accounting software (i.e., QuickBooks, Sage)

The employee is occasionally required to balance, kneel, or crouch
The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to ten pounds
Specific vision required for this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as ear protection, safety glasses, and high visibility clothing when required
