Position Summary
BirdDog Media is looking to add a part-time Payroll, Billing and Human Resources Specialist. This position supports several critical administrative functions across BirdDog Media and Windy City Call Center such as managing billing, weekly payroll, recruiting coordination and employee onboarding.
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 15-20 hours per week. The job is on-site at our Palatine, IL office.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail number-oriented, able to manage multiple deadlines independently and uses discretion with confidential employee and financial information.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Billing
Prepare monthly billing and reports.
Prepare client invoices.
Research and resolve billing discrepancies.
Payroll Administration
Process and review weekly payroll.
Set up and terminate employees in APS Payroll Solutions.
Process employee changes.
Process WOTC credits.
Employee Records tasks including reports, I-9 documentation and completing employment verification requests.
Assist Hiring Manger with hiring tasks and using applicant tracking system.
Qualifications
Previous experience in payroll, billing, human resources.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Able to use discretion with employee, payroll and financial information.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and other standard business applications.
Experience with APS, APS Hire, Sage accounting software systems is preferred.
Ability to work independently.
Position Details
Employment status: Part-time
Expected hours: Approximately 15-20 hours per week
Work arrangement: Work on-site at our Palatine, IL office.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday only
Pay: $25 to $30 per hour
