Are you an accounting professional with insurance industry experience looking to join a growing and stable organization? We are seeking a Accounting Supervisor to join a collaborative finance team where you'll have the opportunity to contribute across both GAAP and statutory accounting while supporting a dynamic and evolving business environment.
Location: Western Suburbs of Chicago
Schedule: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)
Compensation:
$95,000 - $110,000 annually
Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
Support financial reporting and compliance requirements
Work within both GAAP and statutory accounting environments
Partner with internal stakeholders on accounting and reporting initiatives
Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and process improvement projects
Support insurance accounting activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including reinsurance functions when needed
Requirements
Must-Haves
3+ years of accounting experience within an insurance company
Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance accounting experience strongly preferred
Ability to work effectively in both GAAP and statutory accounting environments
Strong general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting experience
Nice-to-Haves
CPA or CPA-track candidate
Experience with Microsoft GP or Prospero
Exposure to insurance reporting and/or coordination with reinsurance teams
