nWhat you will be doing?
nAssists with the supervision and coordination of the accounting operations in the hotel.
nKey Responsibilities
nThe Accounting Supervisor supports the accuracy and integrity of financial operations by managing general accounting activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, audit support, and financial analysis.
nQualifications
nnnMust have hotel accounting experience
n
nnStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
n
nnExperience with accounting systems
n
nnAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
n
nnProject accounting preferred
n
n nKey Responsibilities
nnnReview financial information and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
n
nnManage daily accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, billing, payment and account maintenance.
n
nnPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
n
nnSupport month-end and year-end closing processes.
n
nnAssist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
n
nnMonitor revenues, expenses, and financial transactions to ensure accurate reporting and proper coding.
n
nnMaintain accurate financial records, documentation, and supporting schedules.
n
nnEnsure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
n
nnSupport accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and other accounting functions.
n
nnAssist with internal and external audits and provide requested financial information.
n
nnReview financial data and provide information and support to management for decision-making.
n
nnIdentify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
n
nnProvide guidance and support to accounting staff and oversee daily activities as needed.
n
nnEnsure financial reports and deadlines are completed accurately and on time.
n
nnSupport general administrative and departmental activities as required.
n
nnPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
