Accounting TechnicianAre you ready to be part of a dynamic fiscal team? Consider working as an Accounting Technician for the Nevada County Auditor Controller's Office! Accounting Technicians are an integral part of the Auditor Controller's team, whose mission is to safeguard Nevada County fiscal resources with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, transparency, and service by creating and maintaining internal controls. This is an experienced level position in which individuals perform a variety of vital activities that include but are not limited to:Receive, review, verify and process accounting transactions by reviewing claims, invoices, and associated documents for completeness.Prepare vouchers for payment.Provide support in the development of department's budget and maintain accurate accounting of department expenditures.Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries and reports.Provide administrative support for the office including customer service for internal and external customers in person, via phone, mail, and email.Work with multiple software platforms for accounting, recordkeeping and document routing.Compile and analyze data using Microsoft Excel.Looking for work-life balance?
