Accounts Payable / Accounting AssistantRaymus Homes is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, keeping things organized, meeting deadlines, and taking ownership of a busy accounts payable workload. You'll work closely with our Controller and other members of the accounting team while helping ensure invoices, vendor payments, reconciliations, and other accounting processes are completed accurately and on time.What You'll DoProcess accounts payable invoices from receipt through paymentCode invoices and coordinate approvals with managersPrepare regularly scheduled check runs and vendor paymentsReview vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or past-due itemsMaintain accurate vendor records and W-9 documentationRecord manual checks and other transactions in the accounting systemAssist with credit card reconciliations and employee reimbursementsSupport general ledger cash reporting and other accounting functionsAssist with payroll administration and other accounting projects as neededCommunicate professionally with vendors, trade partners, tenants, and internal team membersMaintain confidentiality of company and financial informationWhat We're Looking For2–4 years of accounts payable or related accounting experienceStrong attention to detail and a demonstrated record of accuracyAbility to organize and prioritize a high-volume workloadComfortable working independently and meeting recurring deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and WordStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent judgment, integrity, and discretionPreferred ExperienceConstruction, homebuilding, property management, or a related industrySage/Master Builder, MarkSystems, QuickBooks, or similar accounting softwareCandidates must also have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be eligible for coverage under Raymus Homes' auto insurance policy.
