Accounts Payable SpecialistA growing property management company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily accounting operations with a strong focus on maintenance billing, vendor payments, invoice processing, and account reconciliations. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring financial accuracy across a portfolio of residential properties.The ideal candidate will have Accounts Payable experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Property management accounting experience is highly preferred.Essential ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableProcess high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timelyReview invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentationMaintain vendor records and supporting filesResearch and resolve invoice discrepanciesReconcile vendor statements and account balancesCommunicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiriesMaintenance BillingProcess maintenance-related invoices and work order billingVerify billing accuracy and supporting documentationCoordinate with maintenance teams and vendors regarding billing questionsTrack maintenance expenses and ensure accurate cost allocationPayment ProcessingProcess ACH payments, electronic payments, and check runsMaintain payment records and audit documentationAssist with month-end accounting activitiesSupport credit card expense reconciliation and documentationProperty Accounting SupportAssist with tenant and vendor account researchSupport trust accounting and property-related financial transactionsMaintain organized accounting records and documentationAssist with reporting and special accounting projects as assignedQualificationsRequired2+ years of Accounts Payable experienceExperience with invoice processing and vendor managementExperience with account reconciliationsStrong data entry and financial accuracy skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPreferredProperty management or real estate accounting experienceExperience with Yardi, AppFolio, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting softwareExperience processing ACH payments and check runsKnowledge of maintenance billing and vendor invoicingExperience supporting month-end close activitiesDesired SkillsAccounts PayableVendor ManagementInvoice ProcessingMaintenance BillingAccount ReconciliationsPayment ProcessingProperty Management AccountingFinancial RecordkeepingMicrosoft ExcelProblem SolvingAttention to DetailTime ManagementWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and capable of taking ownership of the Accounts Payable process.
