Accounts Payable ClerkFlare Construction is hiring for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The AP Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, handling payments, and maintaining accurate financial records to support month-end close activities. This role ensures compliance with internal controls and financial policies while providing timely and professional support to vendors and internal teams. This position is in the Coalville, Utah Office.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess invoices: Match, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting systemHandle payments: Prepare and process checks, ACH, or wire transfersManage vendors: Maintain vendor records and respond to payment inquiriesReconcile accounts: Ensure AP ledger accuracy and support month-end closeMaintain records: File invoices and payment documentation for audit readinessEnsure compliance: Follow internal policies and financial controlsOffice-based role in a professional business environment using standard office equipmentFull-time, Monday through Friday, standard business hours; occasional extended hours during critical accounting periodsMust handle confidential financial and employee information with integrity and discretionMust meet deadlines consistently while maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policiesQualifications2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferredExperience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, Viewpoint, QuickBooks)Familiarity with job cost accounting and cost code allocationBasic understanding of invoice matching, purchase orders, and vendor paymentsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and OutlookEducationHigh School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferredSkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environmentOrganization and time management skillsProficiency with accounting ERP systemsEffective communication with vendors and internal departmentsProblem-solving skills to investigate and resolve payment discrepanciesEstablished in 1976 and now a Quanta Services company, Flare Construction brings the stability and resources of a Fortune 500 enterprise with the culture and agility of a specialized field contractor.
