Accounts Payable ClerkNRHC - Susanville, CA 96130Salary Range $23.00 - $27.46 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Category AccountingPosition SummaryTemporary position: The Accounts Payable specialist ensures that all expenses of the clinic are properly reviewed, entered, and paid at the CFO's direction. Additionally, this position records daily cash receipts, prepares journal entries, and supports the financial staff.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor and respond to AP mail and emailObtain approval for all expenses that require approvalEnter expenses into the accounting software in an accurate and timely mannerPrepare weekly AP report with items to be paid, tracking due dates and prioritiesMake approved payments by ACH or check and upload check data to the Bank "Positive Pay" portalDownload daily bank activity and add to various reports as neededPrepare Cash Receipting and Check Run journal entries in the accounting softwareMaintain expenses and vendor documentation to satisfy audit standardsResponsible for managing company credit card transactions and maintaining accurate receipts and expense records.Other Duties:Support financial staff in additional projects as requestedMaintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values in all duties and interactions.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; some accounting coursework preferred.2 years of financial experience preferred.Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal software systems.Experience with accounting software preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.Physical demands/essential functions: Frequent: sitting, standing, walking, working on computer 8 hours daily, lift/carry objects up to 24lbs, repetitive motion of hands & wrists, close eye work, color differentiation, independent problem solving. Constant: listening, speaking in person or on the phone, reading, writing, working with the public and staff.
