You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close process, and ensuring timely vendor payments in a dynamic manufacturing environment.If you're detail-oriented, highly organized, and looking for long-term career growth with a stable and innovative company, we'd love to hear from you.What We Offer You:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insurance, AD&D, and disability coverageSalary range: $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience401(k) with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysTuition reimbursementVoluntary benefits: pet insurance, legal plans, identity protection, and additional voluntary benefitsEmployee engagement events and team-building activitiesOpportunities for professional growth and career advancementStable employment with global industry leaderWhat You'll Do:As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable function for the corporate office and one manufacturing facility.Accounts Payable & Invoice ProcessingProcess approximately 300 invoices per month with a high degree of accuracyReview invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentationPerform 3-way matching and verify vendor information and account codingEnter invoices and payment information into the ERP systemEnsure timely and accurate invoice processing and vendor paymentsVendor Management & ReconciliationResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors, manufacturing plants, and corporate personnelCommunicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and outstanding issuesInvestigate freight invoice discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with third-party processorsAccounting and Financial SupportPrepare journal entries, including accrualsAssist with monthly close activitiesPerform account reconciliations and account analysisMaintain supporting documentation and desktop proceduresSupport internal and external audit activitiesCompliance and Process ImprovementEnsure all transactions comply with company policies and approval requirementsAssist with accounts payable process improvements and AP automation initiativesSupport accurate sales and use tax accruals on purchasesYou'll Need To Have:3+ years of Accounts Payable, AP Specialist, AP Coordinator, or Accounting Coordinator experienceExperience with invoice processing, vendor payments, and high-volume data entryKnowledge of purchase orders, 3-way match processing, and accounts payable best practicesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentAssociate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldExperience with AP Automation tools and workflowsExperience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar platformsManufacturing accounting experienceFamiliarity with sales and use tax accrualsExperience supporting monthly close and general ledger activitiesWhy Join Silgan Closures?Fortune 500 packaging leader with 109 manufacturing facilities worldwideGlobal provider of sustainable metal and plastic packaging solutionsStrong commitment to safety, innovation, sustainability, and employee developmentCollaborative culture where employees can make an immediate impactLong-standing reputation for stability, growth, and operational excellence
