Job description
Accounts Payable SupervisorOversees individual or group training of associates on all the daily operational accounting entries related to accounts payable. Tracks and evaluates daily department tasks. Supervises and monitors goal achievement for direct reports. Manages and assigns tasks to direct reports. Interfaces with various internal departments. Drives continuous improvement initiatives or other projects as assigned.Management of the AP team - delegate AP workload to the team and review work as neededManagement of vendor payments via ACH, wire, and/or checksDaily review of AP voucher distributions to ensure coding accuracyReview team members monthly vendor reconciliationsEnforcement of proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures; providing recommendations for improvementApprove and process weekly employee expenses via expense management system (Emburse)Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and produce key metricsCompiles AP information to assist with financial analysisActive participation in various company meetings serving as representation for the Accounts Payable departmentPreparation and delivery of year-end 1099 formsInteraction with other sub-units and supervisors within the company to resolve internal process issues related to Accounts PayableAssist with various tasks associated with company auditsPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementAbility to multi-task effectively while upholding deadlines set forthCollege degree in Accounting or a related field4-6 years of accounting experience or related field required2 years of supervisory experienceDetail oriented with strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyGood written and verbal communication skillsEffective time management skillsCompetitive salaryMedical Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)HSA, FSA, Commuter BenefitsMedical DiscountsAncillary BenefitsAccident, Critical Illness, Hospital InsuranceVoluntary, Spouse, and Child Life InsurancePet InsuranceEmployee Discount Programs401k matchingPaid time off (including 15 PTO days and 11 holidays)Salary Range: $71,434 - $104,194Please note that the salary information is a general guideline.
