Accounts Payable ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to support a growing organization in Oak Brook, Illinois on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who can bring structure to a fast-moving environment following a recent acquisition while partnering closely with accounting leadership. The right candidate will combine strong accounts payable expertise with a steady, solutions-focused approach and experience improving processes through modern AP technology.Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices, payments, and approvals are processed accurately and on schedule.Partner closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller to address priorities, resolve exceptions, and maintain strong communication across the finance team.Help stabilize AP activities during a period of organizational growth resulting from a recent acquisition.Manage invoice coding, payment processing, ACH activity, and check runs while maintaining proper financial controls.Support the evaluation, implementation, or optimization of AP automation tools, with preference for experience using Tipalti or comparable platforms.Work across teams to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and strengthen visibility into payable processes.Bring a hands-on approach to issue resolution, keeping operations moving smoothly in a high-engagement environment.Contribute knowledge gained from working with portfolio-backed or multi-entity businesses to help align AP practices with business needs.
